Monika brings a background in Graphic Design, global corporate project leadership and operations.
Her strength is bringing structure to ideas - listening carefully to what a client wants, helping shape the creative direction and making the journey from initial concept to finished piece feel clear, personal and effortless.
She ensures the journey is seamless for you - from first conversation through to the final reveal.

Forged together.
Our story did not begin in a workshop. It began in Béthune, a quiet town in northern France, where two very different paths crossed unexpectedly.
Monika had come from Poland through a student exchange program. Mark travelled from the Republic of Ireland to complete his studies in Applied Electronics, with no intention of becoming a goldsmith. Neither imagined that, in a small French town, they would meet the person they would build a life with, let alone a business.
What followed was a gradual discovery in each other’s worlds.
Monika developed an understanding of craftsmanship: the patience fine jewellery demands, the precision it rewards, and the quiet beauty of objects made to last. Mark discovered how design, organisation and thoughtful client experience could elevate a craft beyond the bench.
Over the years, our paths took us through different careers, different cities and different experiences. But one idea stayed with us:
“What if we built this together, properly,
on our own terms?”
WHY AN ATELIER, NOT A SHOP
We chose the opposite of fast.
We could have built Mona & Kimmo as a traditional jewellery brand - more pieces, faster turnaround, wider reach. We chose a different path.
A studio small enough that every commission still passes through both of our hands. When you work with us, you work directly with the people who design and make it - from the first idea to the final polish.
